I wonder about those people Without God in their lives.... I wonder who they turn to Do they live? Or just survive? Are you one of those people? I was, too, once before... I heard the sound of Jesus knocking But I would not get the door! All throughout my teenage years I ignored what my heart knew was true Wondering why misfortune followed me Why I stayed so sad and blue! Now I'm grateful that the Savior Did not turn and walk away! When my heart's door failed to open I'm so very glad He stayed! Year after year, His gentle knock Was ignored by me completely! Although, when I finally answered He rejoiced so warm and sweetly! Since then, my life's been different His joy has filled my heart and home I still have my share of suffering, sure.... But now...I'm not alone! So if you know of someone Who pretends they cannot hear Jesus knocking on their heart Do your best to make it clear! Just how very much He loves them All His children...every one! He died in pain to pay our debt And He's still ignored by some! The best way to show your gratitude For the suffering He went through? Is to spread His Word to everyone Letting His light shine through YOU! Be ready always to explain Your faith and trust in Him... Teach others to listen for His knock And for their souls sake...LET HIM IN!! Dusty Richardson |
