THE PAVILLION Up the hill and across the road from the Barn is the Pavillion. Beautiful, covered outdoor sitting area that looks out over the camp facing east so I could literally watch the sun come up over the mountains as I did my Me 'n God hour over coffee!! |
JEREMY !! This is Jeremy! Not quite sure what his official title is, but he seems to be everywhere and working everything! He leads Grace in the barn, fixes what breaks, runs the sound system, and here he is in the chapel during one of our devotions! The dude is EVERYwhere!! |
Two of my cabin-mates, SuzieQ and BJ ....there were at least 8 more girls in our cabin, but somehow I've managed to lose the pix I took....SIGH....but a great time was had by ALL that's for sure!! CAMP LURECREST IS A YEAR-ROUND BIBLE CAMP/INSTITUTE USED BY MANY DIFFERENT CHURCHES FOR BIBLE CAMPS AND RETREATS. IT'S RIGHT ON THE LAKE AND FEATURES 8 LARGE CABINS THAT EACH SLEEP FROM 10-12 CAMPERS, A BEAUTIFUL OUTDOOR CHAPEL, A HUGE "BARN" THAT SERVES AS A COMMUNITY CENTER/CAFETERIA, A PAVILLION EQUIPPED WITH ROCKING CHAIRS, GAMES AND TABLES, A SWIMMING POOL, LAKE ACCESS FOR SWIMMING AND CANOES, PLUS A SHUTTLE TO TAKE YOU UP AND DOWN THE PATH TO THE LAKE...THESE FOLKS HAVE IT GOING ON AND HAVE LITERALLY THOUGHT OF EVERYTHING!!! | THE BARN This is the cafeteria...huge place!! Tables with utensils, place settings, condiments, etc. At one end is a buffet line complete with salad bar and it features some of the tastiest meals I've ever had! Line up, get your food, say Grace and DIG IN!! |
| THE CHAPEL Right across the road from the cabins is the camp's beautiful outdoor chapel! Views of the mountains to the left and the deep forest on the right....if you can't sense the presence of God here? Then I don't think you'll find it anywhere else...Truly awe-inspiring!!!!!! |
