Do we still believe in magic?
Somehow I rather doubt it...
We've managed to convince ourselves
That we can live without it!
In these hectic, modern times
There's not a moment left to spare
For silly things like magic
We're sure no one even cares!
But I'll tell you a secret
Despite our self-reliant fuss?
Magic's still alive and well
So I guess the joke's on us!
And if you're a disbeliever...
Just look up at the sky
It's there in every rainbow
Each newborn baby's cry...
There's magic in the snowflakes
As they drift down to earth
True magic can't be measured
By man's idea of worth...
But it happens almost everywhere
On merry Christmas mornings
Like an unexpected summer shower
It surrounds you without warning!
Look closely at a child's face
While he listens to a story...
Or notice how you feel inside
After you have said, "I'm sorry!"
And some folks just won't be convinced
They'll continue to refuse
That magic's even possible
But they're the ones who lose!
For those who go from day to day
Without it in their lives?
Are deserving of our pity...
They don't live,  they just survive!
In a million different ways
Real magic is still here
Always has been and  will be
Look with your heart...it's crystal clear!
