| Uncomfortable now, I began to squirm The baby kicked and I gave a yelp! My new friend patted my abdomen, "Perhaps there's a way for me to help!" She crossed her arms...appeared to think, "You'll need a place to stay..." I broke in quickly, "But I have----" She just waved my words away! "The back room of that run-down shop Simply will not do! I crossed the street to join her She said, "Let's take a little walk It really isn't far at all And it will give us a chance to talk!" As we started down the avenue She began a constant stream of chatter "First things first," she brightly said "We take care of what really matters!" We stopped at a handsome brownstone The sign said 'APARTMENTS HERE' She opened the door saying "In we go!" But I hung back in dread and fear.... |
