| PROCRASTINATION |
It's just a simple little fault We're all guilty of at times Putting something off a bit Till it completely slips our minds! A chore needs our attention But then something else will grab it Before you know it...procrastination Has become a nasty habit! "I'll fold the laundry just as soon...." "I'll pay this bill, but first....." It starts out small, but quickly It can go from bad to worse! "I swear I'm going to exercise Or get that closet sorted out!" But then, like almost everything It's put off...without a doubt! And one perpetual victim Of this nagging, widespread vice Is studying the Word of God And following His advice! "I need to read the Bible more!" That's what you tell yourself But as weeks and months go by It gathers dust up on that shelf! "I'll get around to Jesus If I have the chance tomorrow..." Do it now.....don't put it off Or you may find to your sorrow That you've wasted an entire life Ignoring what really counts And when you're facing Judgement Day? Regrets will quickly mount! You'll stand before the court of Heaven And pay for procrastination... As God searches vainly in the Book of Life Then says with hesitation... "Child? I do not see your name And I'm not sure what can be done!" He glances at the throne beside Him Where Jesus sits...His only Son! But Christ only shrugs His shoulders, As He answers with a frown "I always meant to..but I forgot So I never wrote it down! I really had intended to I had your name in mind... But, like you, I was so busy That it completely slipped My mind!" So don't let this scenario Have a chance of coming true!! Make room NOW for Jesus...after all He found the time to die for you!!!
