Ever stood and dropped a pebble Into a lake while it was calm? Then watched as the ripples seemed To just go on and on? Expressions have the same effect For instance; take a smile Once begun, it passes on For who knows how many miles? Spreading cheer it sails along On a merry little path... And if it continues long enough Why, then it becomes a laugh! And those are most contagious Cause they're so much fun to share! One giggle or a chuckle means Hilarity soon is everywhere! And music is a favorite, too A universal heart to heart A language understood by all No matter how far they are apart! With just a little effort Anyone can cause commotion; A world-wide epidemic All from one heart-felt emotion! One little ray of sunshine A ripple that begins with you... May make a difference in a life Believe it....for it's true! So wear a smile and sing a song Let the notes rise to the sky It may not reach around the globe But can it hurt to try?
