We've all been told the story Of how Jesus walked on earth Myth or legend...simple truth? We must each decide it's worth History has accepted it As a recorded, valid fact While some dispute it even now Though not with lots of tact But mankind in general, tends to agree 'Cause most of us just aren't liable To dispute or even argue with What's written in the Bible! For what's in it is a game plan God's strategy for salvation If we use it, it can guide us Through life's trials and tribulations The Lord's life in words and parables Along with lessons that He taught About reaching for Eternal Life Knowledge that can't be bought How to pray and talk with God Showing us how to live Teaching us to be more like Him Always willing to forgive Exactly what we should & shouldn't do He taught us by example For folks are searching high and low For something new to sample Proclaim yourself a child of God Help make His message known Spread the Word around the world That none of us is on our own! We each have a loving Father Who watches from above Waiting only to be asked Before He showers us with love God Almighty sent Christ His Son Who suffered and died for us Then left the Bible as a road map To eliminate doubt and fuss! So, to those who still procrastinate Or fear making the wrong deduction? For Heaven's sake....just read the Book! He left step-by-step instructions! So that His Children everywhere Would know they're not alone Trust me...God gives GREAT directions And we ALL can make it home!! Dusty Richardson c 2001 |
