THE SNAKE !!
THE SNAKE

Our generation has been cursed
With an evil, slimy fiend
Who uses slick and oily speech
To further his deceitful means

His favorite tool is television
And he wields it with great skill
Appealing to all who'll listen
"Please fill the Lord's empty till!"

TV preachers far and wide
Crowd network channels galore
And pretend to sell salvation
From a heavenly department store!

They live on fancy, rich estates
Ride in chauffered limousines
Conning seniors out of pension funds
By constant pleading from the screen!

"Your money does the Lord's work!!"
He claims at 10 each day...
Neglecting to mention it also covers
His expensive weekend getaway!!

He almost always claims to be
As an ambassador of the Lord...
Someone should nominate the creep
For the latest Academy Awards!

God managed to create the entire world
But he suddenly needs an attache?
Not only that, but Heaven's bankrupt?
How that happened, he doesn't say!

He also says that he's a teacher
Explaining any and all beliefs
Well, I don't need it clarified...
Where I come from...he's a thief!!

For I've read the Bible lots of times
Without finding the verse in which
God says "Thou shalt find a preacher man
And do your best to make him rich!!"

"Send your donations in right away
Get your prayer on Heaven's docket!"
And while his right hand's on the Bible
His left one's in your pocket!
People shouldn't have to pay someone
To pray on their behalf
"Need a prayer partner?  200 bucks!"
If it wasn't so sad...I'd laugh!

But he feeds upon the elderly
Who are alone and perhaps afraid
For having no one else to talk to
They buy into this fool's charade...

I'd love to be up in Heaven
When this slime ball rolls around
His face'll be worth a million when
God hits the button labeled "DOWN"!

And after the initial shock, he'll see
The end of his every scheme...
For deceit is the Devils stock and trade
On second thought, they'll make quite a
team!
