THE VISIT...pg 1  This is another one of those that He sent
down that literally wouldn't leave me alone until I sat down with a pen.    Had no
idea what it was or who was "visiting" who until the words just started to flow...I
love it when that happens!!    Hope you enjoy it too...I fell in love immediately
with Daisy and her story!!

Miss Daisy finished up her morning prayers
Drank the last sip of her tea,
Then crossed herself as she bowed her head
Thinking, “Lord?  I still do not see….

I have questions without any answers
And most of them start out with WHY???
Why is there so much evil on earth?
Why do so many good people die?”

For all of her life she had trusted the Lord
He’d answered so many of her prayers
She'd never entertained a doubt He was real
Because He’d so often proven He cared!

Yes, Jesus was certainly her Savior
She’d accepted Him long, long ago
Still, sometimes she had no patience
There was still much that she longed to know!

Especially when some new believer
Came to visit with questions in mind
It irked her beyond any shadow of doubt
Having to say, “We must wait for God’s time!!”

Sighing, she set about completing her chores
But still she could not shake the thought
That God should make it all easier somehow
To find all the answers she sought!

She folded up sheets as she daydreamed
“I know You’re quite busy, Father…
But I’d give anything for one chance to ask
About these things that have me so bothered!!”

She was just halfway through her trek up the stairs
When she heard the front doorbell sound
She plunked all the towels on the next step above
And turned to head once more back down…

Again she could hear the small, tinkling bell
“I’m coming!” she loudly called out
Whoever is out there she said to herself
”Is eager beyond any doubt!!”

Stepping out the front door onto her porch
She looked all about in confusion
For she could not see a soul anywhere
Or any cause for the noisy intrusion!!

The wide front porch was shaded and cool
The wicker rockers down at one end
With their soft, well-worn cushions invited a break
So she thought for a bit and said then:

“I might as well pour me a glass of iced tea
And rock for awhile in the shade!”
There was nothing pressing she had to do
Her schedule was always self- made
