The next time you get angry
At something someone said?
Ask yourself...is this really worth
Getting steamed or seeing red?

Keep an image in your mind
Of Jesus, whipped and weak
Even while suffering horrible pain
He turned the other cheek...

And when the load that weighs you down
Seems to have you at a loss?
Ask yourself...is it as heavy
As that massive, wooden cross?

And when your spirit is deflated
From facing ridicule and scorn
Think of the Blood that stained His face
From that awful crown of thorns...

Whatever hurt the world inflicts
On your feelings or your pride
Does it come close to being worse
Than the spear that pierced His side?

Nothing we face on this earth
Will match the pain He knew...
Agony, torture, finally death
And He did it all for you!!

So next time you get frazzled
Or your just in an evil mood?
Think about what Jesus did
And bow your head in gratitude!

For He gave everything He had
To pay the debt you owe
Keep that always in your mind
No matter where you go!

Let Him know you appreciate
The sacrifice He made...
Spread His love throughout the world
Unashamed and unafraid!!
