| WAKE UP!! |
Seems like everywhere I go I meet folks without a clue! Makes me want to yell "WAKE UP! Don't you know Christ died for you?" On one level, people know this In some remote part of their brains But it's locked away unreachable They're focused on life's aches & pains! Still, Help is here...for everyone Enough strength for any task! Grace and guidance; peace of mind All you have to do is ASK! But nowadays, folks don't listen So busy rushing here and there They've no time to get to know the One Who proved how much He cares! Christ lived and suffered, died in pain And He did it all for US! But just the mention of that fact Causes some to rant and fuss While others ignore Him altogether And the rest argue, assigning blame Plus don't forget the unbelievers Who still deny He ever came! And the saddest ones DO know Him As well as why He died; But fearing ridicule and shame They refuse to take His side! Their awful silence surely causes Christ's heart to break within... He gave His LIfe to save the souls Who now won't stand for Him!! What if He had done the same When facing Calvary's trail? Just shook His head...but did He? NO! For us, Christ chose the nails! Because to Jesus, our salvation Was well worth the sacrifice... He was determined we'd reach Heaven Regardless of the price! So compared to what He went through To save mankind, (that's you and me!) Nothing I encounter will be worse That much, I guarantee! And whenever I come face to face With one who claims it's all untrue? I defend the Savior with my whole heart That's the least that I can do!
