| WITHOUT GOD |
| WITHOUT GOD Think the world is awful now? As bad as it could be? Things could be much worse than this Just read on and you'll see! Everything that's wrong today Messed up beyond repair How much bleaker would it seem If the Lord no longer cared? Without God, we'd have no purpose No meaning, end or goal Without God, no one would ever learn To appreciate their soul! Without God, there'd be no mercy No man would have a chance We'd pass by those less fortunate Without a single thought or glance Without God here to teach us Or His Bible to show the way We would founder helplessly Unsure what to do or say! Without God, there'd be no heaven For we'd have hell right here on earth Without God's love to show us all Just how much we're really worth! Without God, yes, we would indeed All surrender to despair For without Him, we'd never see Hope blossom anywhere... But the night still ends in sunrise Rainbows still follow storms Clouds still have silver linings Because God's presence can't be scorned Even though the outlook may seem bad When subjected to inspection As long as God is in the mix There's cause for celebration For in the ancient tug-of-war Between the evil and the good? In the end, God's in control So things'll turn out like they should! Dusty Richardson c 2002 |
